Jan to Feb	Nichiren Shoshu is unable to prove Nikken's transmission as High Priest. Nichiren Shoshu is defeated three times in a trial regarding the evacuation of temples in Nagoya , Iwate and Kanagawa.
Jan. 31	Nichiren Shoshu withdraws all its claims made in the suit they themselves filed regarding Seattle Incident. Soka Gakkai claims victory.
