Journalist Okkotsu Accepts Ruling from Tokyo High Court

August 2003 - No. 8

On Aug. 7, Masao Otsukotsu, a defendant in a defamation suit Soka Gakkai filed against him and his company, Forum 21, accepted the May 29 Tokyo High Court decision finding him guilty of libel and ordering him to pay damages. On Aug. 7, Otsukotsu withdrew his appeal to the Supreme Court. [SEE May 2003 ruling.]
